Disappointed... AND yet, sooOO relieved...

Not much of a update here....

Except, boss and Cross asked me on Monday evening whether I could reconsider staying until Sept'08 at least to help them with the work... Was to give them an answer today...

Ended up, I had a meeting with boss today and well, it's a disappointment.

Big disappointment.

Conclusion?

I'm still confirmed leaving next Thursday.

What's there to say?

I want to leave. They ask me to stay and help. Will not and cannot offer anything to keep me from leaving... No increase in anything. No increase in pay. No increase in position. Just want my help. So, everyone was expecting that me, who is leaving, will stay because Cross and boss need my help.

Hello~! If I have to state in black and white, there's no such thing as free labour in this world. You don't, and should not even THINK that people will help you with nothing to gain, you know?!

I'm already not happy with my work. You still expect me to stay on to help you and I end up getting more and more dl with work, with the company and with everyone everyday for the exact pay and for 3 more months, or for forever, until I resign again??!

I seriously don't see why I should even CONSIDER staying. The pay is seriously NOT even worth staying for... Why should I stay and make myself bonkers everyday for nothing, and even slave everyday when I get nothing in return in the end??

The company cannot and will not even offer me anything.

Actually, I was thinking of long term staying when I made the "demands".

But when I asked for increase in pay, cannot.
Ask for the post that boss has been promising me, he says cannot promise.

WTH!

Anything and everything also cannot give, cannot promise...

When a customer say he/she wants to terminate, we offer him/her the world. When a staff wants to resign, we get NOTHING, not even a word of encouragement.

What a difference.

And then, when you need people's help, you expect people to help after the way you treat them???

I don't even ask for much. I just asked what the company can offer me if they want me to stay (for long term).

Nothing.

And the best thing is? I have to ask for what they can offer me, not the other way round when they say they need my help in the first place.

What is this, man?! You need people's help and you want the people to REQUEST for what you can offer them first, make them look bad for even asking and then you make the offer, if ANY at all in the first place?!

Shouldn't the company even bother to offer before the staff even ask? Should the staff even ASK in the first place?????!

Guess staff are not worth keeping, but customers are.

Guess I'm worth being asked to stay on but not worth the effort to even spend time and effort to persuade to stay on...

But it's ok...

So, I will note this experience here and in my heart.

The teaching I got today is:

The customer is, and will always be more valued than a staff.

And to think I was even THINKING of requesting whether they can write for me a testimony/referral...

At the way this is going, guess I shall not even bother to even ASK.

So from next Friday onwards, I will no longer have anything to do with my company.

Doubt I'll even miss them. A few people I will miss, but the rest? Doubt so.

The world is an ugly world.

Only the baddest, greediest people who think only of themselves will win and rule.

Life example? Certain people I've seen and encountered in my workplace, SOON TO BE EX-PLACE.

Lets face it, baby.

You either eat or get eaten by others.

Only bastards and ego-manics will survive in this current world, and they stand tall and proud at the end of the day each day to proclaim that they have, and will still continue to rock the world...

That's how the world works now, baby!
