Ok... So I'm back.
AFTER the New Year, in fact.
2008... Gawd... I don't even feel any DIFFERENCE from usual. For all I know, it's a scam in believing that a new year will be better...
Anyway, here's the so call recap... Or what I can remember of the current week...

Whoever proposed COUNTDOWN and believed EVERYONE has a 1/2 day work IS stupid....
Since when do people like us, damn poor customer service crew, have half-day due to public holiday on the next day??
Anyway, came in to office to realise within 15 minutes there was something wrong.
My colleague was not here!!!!
Since laoda is on leave and my senior was also on leave/off, there were only like, me, my colleague and my laoda's boss.
Had to go to our roster to find out she was on MC.
No sms sent to inform me. Had to go find out myself.
Super disgusted, at being NOT informed AND having to man EVERYTHING on my own, without any help from laoda's boss.
Sadist last day of the year. BLACK MONDAY, it is.
I'm seriously starting to contemplate my choice of NOT drinking AND smoking...
The whole day?
Dispute, Dispute and MORE dispute.
Damn.
Conclusion: walked FULL day. Go Figure... Last day of the year. Total letdown. In siannation mode.

Guess what?
Self-voluntary work. Full shift.

To sidetrack. Overall, the feeling's not THAT bad lar..
First dream of the year?
On school. Oh my god. Of all things. SCHOOL. Well, not exactly on the studies portion. But still, on school...
My dear God. Are you finally through HINTING at me by letting me see overseas Uni POSTERS wherever I turn and deciding finally to haunt me instead by my first dream of the year??????? *groans*

2nd day... Still working...
Was on the train near Chua Chu Kang when I receive a sms from my colleague.
In summary, sms was to inform me and laoda to FYI (for your information), and to laoda's boss, informing boss that she was not going to work as son was sick and if possible to consider as Urgent Leave, and she would be working at home.
Believe me. I REALLY WANTED to get off the MRT then and there and SMS as well to laoda's and his boss that I also want to apply for Urgent Leave when I read the sms.
1) I was already doing 1 man stunt on 31st Dec, 1st Jan and now, 2nd Jan??????
2) FYI. So, it's for information purpose and no actions required.
3) Letter and faxes.
4) Work load.
5) Difference in skill set assigned.

I am NOT god. Let me state this plain and clear.
I CANNOT, and WILL NOT, handle 1 man show. Not even for a day. (And I'm handling 3 straight days of 1 man show.)
Working at home means NO faxes and letters. All go straight to ME. 3 STRAIGHT DAYS. Work load also can confirm WILL be different and there is a limitation on what you can do in the office and at home.
The best part of it?
Part 1:
Working from home, when your kid has, of all sickness, diarrhoea.
PLEASE.DO.NOT.MAKE.ME.LAUGH.
Even when I had diarrhoea (the runs), I do NOT volunteer to inform everyone I will be working from home. I would rather spend the time in the TOILET.
Believe me. I am not trying to be mean. But I cannot tolerate the part on informing people that you will log in from home, when some one close to you has the runs.
Part 2:
Laoda's boss on Urgent Leave as well.

Her's was even better. Took me about 3 hours to realise she was not in as well.
Hell.
To tell the truth, I was itching ( upon receiving the e-mail) and sorely tempted ( when I realise even my laoda's boss is on UL) to start up my Internet Explorer, go Google and type in "resignation letter template" in the search bar.
Conclusion: Total goner. worked until 10pm clearing the damn faxes and letter. Unable to finish them all.
2nd day of the year and I'm starting to rethink whether I should START finding another job...

Went to collect the NDS. Swopped it to PINK and gave it to my sister. Went retail therapy at AMK hub. spent about #200+.
Went back to home and nearly had a breakdown then, due to the stupid software not included in the box. "System unable to load due to no software found. Please check.", something along the line.
In the end, went online and had to read chinese on the website for instructions. The website was in chinese due to the product being manufactured in China. ( Couldn't make head or tail of the English translation.)
Sigh.
Conclusion: Obviously, I am not in the most stable mood now. Even simple thing like no software can threaten to trigger a breakdown.

Went back to work. Senior was there, and my colleague as well.
Never on my Genesys. Had to clear the stupid faxes and letters first.
Can already foresee laoda SCREAMING (for a guy) when he comes back and see the numbers.
Oh Boy.
Conclusion: Am still thinking of the RL...

No work today. day spent on my NDS. Heh. :)
Yah, for someone who has ULTRA-SHORT attention span on games and TV, I spent the whole day on my NDS.
God save my soul.
Conclusion: Game: "My SIMS" IS a stupid game. This comes from me, a stupid fella who has played the game the whole day. lol~
