Happy Graduation People~~
I like my boss.... He's so kind.... That I just want to cry... T.T
lol~~ Originally, I requested one hour early off today... In the end, he told me yesterday I can have the whole day off!!!
A bit wasted actually, since I am not going to the graduation ceremony, but rather, I'll be joining the AFTERMATH of the ceremony... Dinner I mean!!!
Well, I don't think I've wasted my day so far... Took time off in the morning to pay the bills, queued and applied for the debit mastercard (Finally got the FEEL to apply for it~~ lol~), then cursed at the stupid AXS machine, because it rejected payment twice (<- Partly my fault coz I didn't check whether my check has been banked in), and cursed at the queue at the bank ATM section, coz just so nice, all machines broke down for the withdrawal section and only left one working one...
Had to go back in the afternoon to pay bill again... Which reminds me, I have to hunt my bankbook AGAIN... <- This can explain my absent-minded attitude,I think, since I was holding it a couple of hours ago... Hmm.......
Anyway, met Mr XXX earlier on MSN, haha~~~ Well, it was to ask him if I'm not attending the ceremony, how should I get my cert and all that... Turns out, he's not sure... So, me, the ever troublesome fella, has to go call my mentor... Which, turns out, he:
1) Doesn't remember me,
2) Not Sure of the process of the graduation
3) Don't know how should I claim my cert...
But then, I don't blame him lar... I'm also not sure of what I'm doing sometimes with my own work anyway... Bwahahaha~~~
Well, he also gave me some sound advise, on how to get it, blah blah... Anyway, Mr. XXX told me there's graduation dinner also~~~ Whee~~ I hope I can sneak in and eat~~~ Whee~~~~
Well, tonight's the night, baby~~ We'll be eating at Swenson J8 branch if nothing goes wrong... Wait!!! Does J8 has Swenson in the 1st place?!?!?!?! OMG~~~ *Cross my fingers and pray*
Haha~~
But anyway, I forgot to add in on Saturday's blog post...
While shopping with Twinnee on Saturday, an auntie at the shop asked me whether I was a teacher... -.-'"
This is not the first time people actually ask me whether I am a teacher... But the point is, do I look or act like one?!??!
Well, I just like to give stuff, as a gift to people to remember us all, but..... Just like that, I'm classified as a teacher?! That auntie said I have a teacher's face and attitude... Whatever that means......
Seriously, if I want to be a teacher,I doubt I'll be teaching students to study... I'd rather teach the students to APPRECIATE life, and live life to the fullest, of course...
Just like what my Primary School teacher taught me... He's mentioned here (in chinese)
LIFE......
Life isn't just studies... God knows, we don't need most of what we are studying in
school anyway... Example, those cosine, sine formulas.... Unless you are a math lecturer or researcher, most of the jobs don't need this anyway...
To me, Life is a process in which, we learn how to laugh, how to cry, how people works, how self control actually work miracles most of the time, what should and should NOT be done... Blah blah...
Take the recent punching of the bus driver uncle incident for example...
For Pete's sake, you shouldn't anyhow whack this bus uncle just because he requested or demanded, depending on which version you believe or heard, the rejected bus pass of your friend...
Reason being:
1) The bus drivers hold the lives of the passengers on board...
Imagine, if the bus driver of the bus you are on drives dangerously for instance... He can choose to but he doesn't, coz of the important burden that lies on his shoulder... His passengers lives...
2) The bus drivers could have just zoomed off and not take us passengers...
Well, the drivers could have just REFUSE to even stop and fetch us all, go back early to the bus interchange and rest... But they don't...
They are even damn courteous to us all, with a good morning greeting, waiting for us slow pokes who runs a 50-100 meter race just to catch the bus even though they could have just zoomed off WITHOUT waiting...
3) Well, the bus drivers are just darn polite and courteous
At least the ones I met on buses everyday anyway... The drivers could have been stone slient, curt, or even don't bother to ask the people at the back or middle to shift in so us poor souls can squeeze in and hop on to their buses. But the point is, the drivers ARE polite and courteous...
Anyway, in the end, the fella, who punched the driver, and his parents apologised in the newspaper to the bus driver...
But the point is, what happened to self control in the first place?
Can it be taught in school, other than the theory of the textbooks, Civics and Moral lessons(<- which to me is a plain waste of time, since we DO know the correct ways to handle things and it's just that we DON'T bother to practise it... )?
God knows how many people who spit in public, smoke and drink pass with flying colors with those tests anyway...
Would it have been better for schools today to forcus more on the moral part of human, and not churn out plain idiotics who do well in studies but can't handle the
moral part of life?
I don't know why, but somehow, I get the feeling that today's generation of kids are getting more reckless and rebellous...
Argue with people, fight with people, bully people, killing themselves...
Well, my generation was more of the yes teacher type and less on the argue part. There are people who argue, fight, smoke and even drink of course... Which generation doesn't have these people?
But the ones I've seen, the ones I know, they have a reason... AND they don't happy-not-happy go whack people without any SOUND reason.
To put it simply, they all found a rock, a teacher, who could connect to them, who cared for them, and who isn't bias against them or the good students...
God knows how hard a NON-bias and caring person can be found, especially in a teaching world today, when the world forcus on the THEORY part of our lives...
Which makes me realise that with today's school system, teaching about life IS impossible... Sigh....
